- STEP 1:Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas mark 6.
- STEP 2:Lightly roll out the pastry to 0.5cm thick over a floured surface, and cut vertically into long thin strips, about 0.5cm wide. You’ll need 1-2 strips per sausage.
- STEP 3:Wrap the pastry strips around each sausage to create a mummy-like look. Brush with the beaten egg or vegan alternative and then pop onto your lined baking tray. Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes,
- STEP 4:To add the spook-factor, place two blobs of soft cheese or the eyes, then top each blob with a small piece of black olive.
You can either eat them hot or leave to cool and enjoy as a cold Halloween party snack. These are ideal for Halloween party finger foods and you can even customize them by cutting the sausages into different lengths to make short and tall Halloween Mummy sausage rolls.
