How to Cook Spooky Halloween Potato Chips

Making these spooky Halloween potato chips is very simple. You can either cook them in an oven or air fryer. I use an air fryer, so I am going to give you instructions for cooking the Halloween snacks in an air fryer for this recipe. If cooking in an oven, place them on a tray and cook for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

How to Make Spooky Halloween Potato Chips

First, wash and slice the potatoes so that the cookie cutter will easily slice through the potatoes. Then using different Halloween cookie cutters – pumpkins, ghosts, bats – cut out your potatoes into Halloween shapes.

Once all of the potatoes have been cut into shapes, place in a bowl of water for about 20 minutes. Then drain and season with oil, salt, pepper and paprika if you prefer. You can also season your potatoes with any seasoning of your choice.

Now preheat your air fryer for 4 minutes before placing the potatoes into the air fryer and cook for 25 minutes. Remember to shake the air fryer tray half way through. On my air fryer, there is a setting for cooking fries, which I used for this recipe and it works really well. Plus, on this air fryer there is also a reminder to shake half way through cooking.

Take them out of the air fryer at the end of the cooking time or when the fries are cooked and are golden brown in color. Serve hot with ketchup or add them to your Halloween charcuterie board with the rest of your Halloween food. Enjoy!
